Rainer Zietlow's Panamericana challenge from Alaska to Argentina

With logistics to new world record

It's time for a new challenge: Today, Rainer Zietlow, a German multi-record driver, and his team will start a world record drive on the longest road of the world, the Panamericana Highway, which stretches more than 16,000 miles (22,500 km) through 14 countries. And once again, Kuehne + Nagel is part of Rainer’s adventure.

In less than 11 days and 17 hours, Rainer's team has the aim to break their own world record of 2011 on the same highway. The car drive will start the attempt from Alaska to Argentina by crossing the Darien Jungle between Panama and Colombia in a scheduled cargo plane as the Panamericana is interrupted between these both countries. Kuehne + Nagel experts will support on logistics requirements, including the coordination of this charter flight and assistance during the border crossing.

Since 2005, Rainer Zietlow supports the international organization “SOS Children`s Villages” with his projects. This time, for each driven kilometer during this world record, he will donate 15 Euro Cents for a SOS Children’s Village in Goioere, Brazil.

Rainer Zietlow commented: “Once more, Kuehne + Nagel assisted us on the logistics operation for the challenge, through a service of excellence and global and local expertise. It is a reliable and competent partner that helps making this expedition possible.”

Good luck, Rainer and team!
