Siemens Netherlands selects Kuehne + Nagel as preferred logistics partner

Within the scope of the three-year contract, which will be effective as of September 1, 2005, all logistics activities in the existing Siemens Spare Parts Operation in Zoetermeer will be taken over by Kuehne + Nagel.

With outsourcing its logistics activities to Kuehne + Nagel the further optimisation of Siemens’ supply chain will be facilitated. The decision in favour of Kuehne + Nagel was based on the Group’s standardised warehousing processes as well as its enhanced information logistics and supply chain management products. In addition, the company will develop alternative logistics concepts to achieve greater efficiencies, while meeting the required quality and time-sensitive service levels of the agreement.
