Samsung partners with Kuehne + Nagel in the Baltics

Kuehne + Nagel has been awarded a 3-year contract by global consumer electronics manufacturer Samsung to manage warehousing and distribution across Lithuania, Latvia and Estonia.

The agreement applies to Samsung’s core product ranges including consumer electronics, telecom and household appliance items. Shipments arrive at Kuehne + Nagel’s Riga warehouse from suppliers across Europe and the Far East, where services encompass inbound reception (packaging and seal-integration checks), storage, pick & pack activities per EDI orders, and distribution to local Samsung trade partners. Value-added services include mobile phone serial number management, as well as secure storage and delivery of high-value products. Kuehne + Nagel has dedicated a special area of the warehouse to the operation.

Zinaida Kim, Logistics Manager of Samsung Electronics in the Baltics: “We have been seeing very dynamic development across the Baltics, calling for a reconsideration of our logistics concept. Kuehne + Nagel, with its profound industry experience and ability to grow the scope of its service in line with our objectives in Lithuania, Latvia and Estonia, is the right partner for us.”

“We are proud to have received this contract from Samsung. Over the last few years, we have built up a highly professional contract logistics team in the Baltics, and we were able to present Samsung with convincing, in-depth project implementation and staff training schedules during the negotiation phase,” comments Kuehne + Nagel’s Romuald Jaworkski, Contract Logistics Director Baltic States.
