New Regional Manager

Effective January 1, 2009, Tim Schar­wath (43) will head Kuehne + Nagel’s North West Europe region. He succeeds Peter Ulber, who was appointed to the management board of Kuehne + Nagel International AG.

Tim Scharwath began his career at Kuehne + Nagel in 1992 and has held a number of management positions within operations, sales and marketing. In 2004, he was appointed to the board in Germany as Executive Vice-President Airfreight. His remit was then extended in 2006 from Germany to Central Europe, and he became a member of the regional management board. Most recently, Tim Scharwath has been responsible for the Netherlands’ organisation as National Manager, a role in which he has successfully managed the integration of the national ACR Logistics business as well as significantly developed the contract logistics and lead logistics solutions activities, particularly within the retail sector.

Kuehne + Nagel’s North West European organisation is headquartered in Uxbridge, United Kingdom, and spans around 150 locations in six countries including Denmark, Finland, Ireland, Norway, Sweden and the United Kingdom. The total workforce is around 12,000 employees.
