More than a workplace: Tamuna’s Kuehne + Nagel story

When gray clouds are covering the sky above Kuehne + Nagel Luxembourg, Tamuna will brighten your day. With a warm smile, our Georgian receptionist can greet you in English, French and German. Few people know that, if it hadn’t been for her husband, we might never have been so lucky to welcome her to the company.

"It was never my plan to come to Luxembourg, let alone to join Kuehne + Nagel here. Back in Georgia I was a French speaking tourist guide for cultural and trekking tours, and that’s how I met my Belgian husband. Since he works in Luxembourg, I moved here with him.”

Tamuna had never heard of Kuehne + Nagel before applying for this position, and she was positively surprised to find out that it is one of the world’s leading logistics service providers. “I can proudly say that I work for Kuehne + Nagel! It's such a big company with a worldwide presence and an important player in the forwarding industry.”

Although Tamuna’s job as a receptionist differs a lot from her previous occupation as a tour guide, both professions share the aspect that she likes the most: people. Our international environment allows her to interact with people from different backgrounds. "For me, a job is not just to earn money. You pass more time at work than with your family, so it should be a pleasure to wake up in the morning and go to work. And I really feel that way here, because everyone is so friendly."
