Kuehne + Nagel manages textile logistics for online fashion store Stromberg

The Swiss online retailer Stromberg has awarded Kuehne + Nagel a contract to provide warehousing and textile logistics services. In doing so, Stromberg will benefit from the industry-specific service offering available at Kuehne + Nagel’s textile logistics centre in Münchenstein near Basel/Switzerland.

Under the agreement, which came into effect at the beginning of this year, Kuehne + Nagel is managing logistics activities for Stromberg including the inspection of inbound goods, warehousing, daily picking and packing of online orders, billing and delivery documentation, dispatch by post, and returns management. All processes are backed by Stromberg’s web-based enterprise resource planning system which is accessed by Kuehne + Nagel.

“With Kuehne + Nagel we have found the perfect logistics partner for the future. The combination of the company’s expertise in the field of textile logistics with our e-commerce know-how will allow for the optimisation of our logistics processes and enhance service levels towards our customers,” commented Marco Novoselac, Stromberg’s managing director.

Roger Meyer, who heads Kuehne + Nagel’s textile logistics centre, said “Both our companies will be able to benefit from this partnership. As a logistics provider, we will be able to deepen our know-how in the online retailing business, while Stromberg will be able to considerably leverage our international network for its growth and expansion plans.”
