Kuehne + Nagel in Germany – Management Change

Effective 1 July 2006, Hans-Georg Brinkmann (52) takes over as Managing Director of the German Kuehne + Nagel organisation with headquarters in Hamburg, and also assumes responsibility for the Central Europe Region comprising Germanyand Switzerland. He succeeds Ewald Kaiser, who is moving to the company’s corporate headquarters in Schindellegi, Switzerland, where he will focus on his responsibilities as Chief Operating Officer Rail & Road Logistics.

 

Hans-Georg Brinkmann started his career with Kuehne + Nagel in Bremen in 1972. After an apprenticeship in freight forwarding, he held various functions within the company’s German seafreight division as well as gaining international work experience with Kuehne + Nagel in New York. In 1996, he was promoted to branch manager of the Kuehne + Nagel Bremen office.

In 1999, Hans-Georg Brinkmann was appointed Managing Director of the Canadian Kuehne + Nagel organisation, which he headed for seven years with great success. Together with his team, he achieved strong growth in all key business fields and succeeded in positioning Kuehne + Nagel as an innovative and capable logistics partner in the Canadian market.
