Kuehne + Nagel expands in Spain

Kuehne + Nagel has been operating in the Spanish market since 1966. With over 400 employees at 11 branch offices, the company has a strong market position in international forwarding and contract logistics, and ranks among the leading logistics providers in Spain.

Kuehne + Nagel took up operations at its Mejorada facility near Madrid in 1980. The growing demand for the company’s high value logistics services called for the expansion of capacities, and the plot in Mejorada, ideally located 15 km from Madrid and between the motorways to the capital’s two main transport destinations Barcelona and Valencia, offered the possibility to expand the existing property. With construction work now completed, the facility provides 27,500 sqm of warehouse space as well as modern offices.

At the logistics centre, Kuehne + Nagel is offering customers its complete portfolio of services from a single source. By bringing together all activities of the Madrid branch at the location, synergies can be achieved, costs reduced and uneconomic traffic avoided.

The property fully complies with modern security and environmental requirements, and its ecological architecture allowed for the consideration of all aspects of resource conservation.
