Grundfos selects Kuehne + Nagel as preferred logistics provider

Danish pump manufacturer Grundfos has selected Kuehne + Nagel as one of its strategic global logistics partners. Under the three-year agreement, Kuehne + Nagel will assume a key role in delivering comprehensive supply chain optimisation and management services to Grundfos’ affiliates worldwide.

“With our dynamically expanding network, particularly in the Asia Pacific and East Europe region, our supply chain processes are becoming increasingly complex and demanding. We are confident that with Kuehne + Nagel as one of our preferred global partners we have best-in-class logistics and IT know-how paired with integration and execution expertise at our availability,” says Lars Petersen, Senior VP Supply Chain, Grundfos Management A/S.

The agreement illustrates the modalities of providing logistics services to Grundfos and its 53 affiliates worldwide, and encompasses international forwarding, warehousing and value added services, transport management, customs brokerage, distribution management, as well as end-to-end visibility facilitated by Kuehne + Nagel’s globally standardised IT and warehouse management technologies. Also, the logistics group will focus on the ongoing optimisation of the implemented solutions, thereby ensuring high service and performance levels across Grundfos’ network.

Dirk Reich, Executive Vice President Contract Logistics and member of the Kuehne + Nagel International AG Management Board, commented, “We are proud to have been selected by Grundfos. In keeping with our principle of acting as an extension of our customer's business, we are committed to providing Grundfos with a competitive edge through our logistics solutions, in support of its growing supply chain and network expansion requirements.”
