CLAAS once again chooses Kuehne + Nagel

CLAAS, one of the world’s leading manufacturers of agricultural machines and harvesters, has awarded Kuehne + Nagel with a two year extension of a contract covering the management of its inbound supply chain from all European countries (except Germany) to its production sites in Germany, France and Hungary.

For years Kuehne + Nagel has been providing a broad range of services in the fields of air-, ocean- and overland transport as well as contract logistics to CLAAS KGaA mbH based in Harsewinkel in Westphalia, Germany. The contract that was recently extended until the end of 2010 includes LTL-, FTL- and trailer concepts, groupage cargo as well as specially designed milk-runs for the CLAAS Group.

“In our tender, Kuehne + Nagel clearly won over its competitors,” commented Bulent Ileri, Head of Logistics of CLAAS Group. “Our choice was based on the company’s dedicated customer-focused approach, the quality of its services, and also the innovative solutions and understanding of our business needs shown by the Kuehne + Nagel specialists.”

“The continuation of our partnership with CLAAS, which has lasted for decades, is of great importance to us,” said Hans-Georg Brinkmann, Managing Director of Kuehne + Nagel Germany. “We are therefore very pleased with the extension of this contract, which we consider a confirmation of our attractive offer of efficient integrated logistics solutions.”
