Alloga and Kuehne + Nagel conclude exclusive cooperation agreement providing integrated logistics solutions to the pharma industry

Alloga, the leading pan-European pharmaceutical pre-wholesaler, and the globally operating logistics provider Kuehne + Nagel have joined forces to supply the pharmaceuticals industry with comprehensive, integrated logistics services starting November 2004.

Within the scope of the exclusive cooperation agreement Kuehne + Nagel will manage all international forwarding activities (overland, sea- and airfreight) including temperature-controlled transports. Alloga will focus on pharmaceutical pre-wholesaling services for drug manufacturers (warehousing, order management, customer service, collection, distribution to end customers as well as further specific services).

Pharma and healthcare firms are increasingly outsourcing their logistics in order to concentrate on their core businesses of research/development and marketing. These companies will benefit from the complementary know-how of the two cooperating partners and from the enhanced service offering.

Alloga Ltd. which is part of the Galenica Group is a company specialising in prewholesale services for the pharmaceutical and parapharmaceutical industries. Alloga was founded in 2000 and today comprises a unique pan-European structure with 10 of its own logistics centres in the 8 most important European markets and has partner organisations in a further 12 European countries. Alloga holds a leading position in European pharma prewholesaling. Additional information on Alloga can be found at www.alloga.ch.
