</ul><p>Kuehne+Nagel in Poland has signed a multi-year contract with Huel, a producer of nutritionally complete food. The dedicated Kuehne+Nagel distribution center located in Święcice near Warsaw will receive Huel&rsquo;s products from its European manufacturing sites and provide storage, picking and packaging goods for further door-to-door distribution to twelve European countries.</p><p>At the beginning, the facility will encompass an area of ​​over 1,000 sqm, including high pallet storage and gravity picking racks, to facilitate the process of picking and packaging orders for customers. An automated solution for capturing photos of each packed shipment generates additional value.</p><p>"In recent years, Kuehne+Nagel has been developing e-commerce services around the world. The dynamic development of this sector on the Polish market is an opportunity to demonstrate our ability to meet logistics needs, especially for dynamically growing companies as Huel. <p>The new facility offers multi-modal, temperature-controlled forwarding and warehousing services and is fully GxP compliant and certified. KN PharmaChain encompasses a global network of more than 220 operations, 600,000 m&sup2; of industry dedicated warehousing space and a team of specially-trained operators.</p>

<p>Tobias Jerschke, Managing Director of Kuehne + Nagel BeLux comments at the occasion of the opening ceremony: &ldquo;The enlarged pharma hub in Geel is an inherent part of our strategy to offer integrated logistics solutions to our customers, at the very centre of one of Europe&rsquo;s strongest pharma clusters. Leveraging our distribution network, we make sure that hospitals, pharmacies, doctors and patients are supplied in full and on time.&rdquo;</p>

<p>The Geel hub is centrally located in close proximity to the Brussels and Li&egrave;ge airports and with fast connections to the other 15 main EuropeanKN PharmaChain locations. The facility covers a total area of 22,000 m&sup2; (plus another 10,000 m&sup2; of extension space) and has two cold chambers to handle varying temperature requirements.</p>

<p>In addition to the Geel pharma hub, Kuehne + Nagel is currently investing in a 15,000 m&sup2; airside pharma facility at the Brussels cargo airport (BruCargo), due to open in the second half of 2020.</p>

<p><span>The new contract logistics centre, due to open in the second half of 2020, will serve On as its advanced European distribution centre for both off- and online channels and will play an important role in the rapid international expansion of the Swiss company specialized in performance running shoes.</span></p>

<p>The distribution centre in Cartagena will handle more than 15,000 product references and will have more than 25,000 dynamic positions, besides having a three-level mezzanine with capacity for more than 40,000 storage locations designed to deliver an efficient operation according to the regional markets demands. Operations are scheduled to start in the third quarter of the year.</p>

<p>To strengthen the local supply, Kuehne + Nagel has further been selected to manage a 10,000 sqm warehouse in Bogot&aacute;. The facility is destined for the storage and distribution of Decathlon&acute;s products to the Colombian market.</p>
