MCH Group, a leading global live-marketing company headquartered in Switzerland, has appointed Kuehne+Nagel as its Official Logistics Partner for the next five years.

From July 1, 2026, the partnership will cover MCH Group’s exhibition venues at Messe Basel, Messe Zurich and Beaulieu Lausanne, together representing more than 182,000 square metres of exhibition space. Under the agreement, Kuehne+Nagel will provide comprehensive services for exhibitors and event organisers, including international shipping to and from event locations of exhibitors’ goods as well as on-site handling carried out in close coordination with all event partners.

MCH Group’s core business includes renowned platforms such as the Art Basel shows in Basel, Hong Kong, Paris, Miami Beach and Qatar, alongside major national exhibitions including Swissbau and Giardina. These events rely on meticulous logistics planning and coordination across venues, markets, and timelines. 

For Kuehne+Nagel’s Expo and Event Logistics team, the partnership reflects its focus on long‑term collaborations with leading organisers, supporting complex international events through reliable and time‑critical logistics solutions.

It’s also the second time in a row that Kuehne+Nagel has won an award at this prestigious event, after winning Best Supplier to Organisers in 2024. The award criteria were focused on the range and diversity of events serviced, innovations in technology and sustainability, and customer excellence. The award embodies the talent and spirit that the Kuehne+Nagel team has in abundance.

As a supplier to this industry, Kuehne+Nagel UK took home the award for the inaugural ‘Best Logistics Supplier’ award. The award marks an outstanding year, supporting clients such as TeamGB, the British Paralympic Association and Discovery at the Paris Olympic Games and other major international events.

Kuehne+Nagel, a leading global logistics company, has been appointed as an Approved Service Provider by Constellar, the venue manager for Singapore EXPO, one of the largest venues in Asia. This appointment underscores Kuehne+Nagel's longstanding expertise in exhibition logistics and event support services to venues and events worldwide.  

As an Approved Service Provider, Kuehne+Nagel is now an option for any organiser planning exhibitions or events at Singapore EXPO, ensuring a dependable and efficient experience. With a dedicated site office on the Singapore EXPO premises for every appointed show management, Kuehne+Nagel can offer optimal logistical support, particularly during event setup and teardown phases, thereby relieving the organisers of these complex tasks.

The demand for Expo and Event Logistics in Asia has significantly increased in recent years. Building on Kuehne+Nagel's strong presence in Expo and Event Logistics in Europe, the company is excited to expand this solution in Asia Pacific to better support its customers’ needs. 

World Sailing, the global governing body for the sport of sailing, welcomes Kuehne+Nagel as Global Logistics Partner in an agreement lasting an initial three years. Under the agreement Kuehne+Nagel becomes the preferred logistics partner for World Sailing’s Member National Authorities (MNAs) and all World Sailing authorised events. Leveraging its global network and expertise in logistics, Kuehne+Nagel handles the transportation of sailing equipment, boats, and other essential resources.

In addition, Kuehne+Nagel supports World Sailing’s Sustainability Agenda 2030 goals by providing visibility and full carbon emissions reporting through the myKN platform. World Sailing, its partners, MNAs, class associations and sailors can also opt for alternative fuel solutions to reduce their carbon emissions.

Indeed, forklifts play a crucial role on fair grounds and log many kilometres to get booths and provisions on the right spot ( also at trade fairs that are less sizable than Bauma, which ranks among the largest exhibitions in Europe). And  while their electric versions are increasingly common, there are still many non-electric forklifts which for operational reasons, or simply because they haven't reached their end of life yet, circulate in the fair ground traffic.

To drive sustainable logistics practices in the exhibition logistics industry, Kuehne+Nagel is pioneering an initiative at five exhibition centres in Germany where the company is the official logistics partner. Its purpose is to reduce emissions from forklifts.

In Hamburg, Hannover, Düsseldorf, Munich and Nuremberg, the entire forklift fleet will be fueled with hydrotreated vegetable oil (HVO) as of March 1st, completely replacing diesel. HVO, which is derived from renewable resources, is a cleaner alternative to conventional fuels with the potential to reduce emissions by up to 90% compared to diesel. The initiative complements the energy savings from a digital planning tool that has been in place for a while to optimise the usage of forklifts and minimise empty runs.

This initiative is a concrete step in line with our Roadmap 2026’s commitment to offering innovative and sustainable logistics solutions. 

Market-leading and UK-based global event organiser Clarion Events has selected Kuehne+Nagel as their Official Global Logistics Partner from January 2024 on a long-term contract. The purpose-led partnership will focus on reducing the carbon footprint of exhibitions and setting new standards for the events industry.

Clarion Events organises over two hundred exhibitions around the world, with around one million people visiting its events each year. Kuehne+Nagel will be the exclusive onsite handling provider for those events, which includes storage, lifting services, customs support, traffic management and international freight forwarding. In the US, where the exhibition model differs, Kuehne+Nagel will act as the Official International Freight Forwarder and Customs Broker to enable events like Powergen, Hydrovision and DistribuTech.

COP28 has appointed Kuehne+Nagel as the official logistics partner at the global 2023 UN Climate Change Conference in Dubai. From November 30 until December 12, the event is expected to convene over 70,000 accredited visitors to the restricted Blue Zone and 50,000 daily visitors to the public Green Zone. The appointment underpins Kuehne+Nagel’s capabilities in expo and events logistics, as well as its commitment to its science-based emission reduction targets and efforts to decarbonise logistics.

At Expo City Dubai, Kuehne+Nagel will be the sole ground handler responsible for steering all logistics activities on-site, like building country pavilions and stages for panel discussions. In addition, the team will support participants in their end-to-end and local logistics needs, from international freight forwarding, customs clearance and warehousing, to venue delivery—all supported by Kuehne+Nagel's global network of experts and its portfolio of low-emission solutions.

Sustainable logistics solutions and SBTi

Kuehne+Nagel’s appointment by COP28 can not only be credited to its logistics expertise, but also to its ambitions to decarbonise the logistics sector. Kuehne+Nagel has committed to the Science-Based Target initiative (SBTi) and has taken major steps to make low-emission transport solutions available for its customers. Cooperation with customers, carriers, international organisations, and other stakeholders is part of Kuehne+Nagel’s strategy to drive meaningful change.

SailGP today announced Kuehne+Nagel as its official logistics partner for the next three seasons, through 2024. Both partners aim to set a new standard for major event logistics, minimising the carbon footprint of the sail racing league's transport within their climate positive strategy. As part of its Net Zero Carbon programme, Kuehne+Nagel is also pursuing its own goal of being completely CO2 neutral by 2030, including transport emissions from its suppliers (Scope 3 of the Greenhouse Gas Protocol).

Kuehne+Nagel will work with SailGP to support the global logistics of its multi-continent race calendar with industry-leading sustainable shipping methods including alternative fuels. In addition, Kuehne+Nagel gives the league full visibility on all shipping-related emissions through its Seaexplorer platform. The tool will enable SailGP to select more efficient transport routes for future seasons that emit substantially less carbon. For the shipping emissions that can’t be removed or reduced, Kuehne+Nagel will offset the remaining carbon footprint via verified gold standard offsets. Combined, the measures will ensure a 100 per cent CO2 neutral supply chain.
