At the annual Pirelli Supplier Day, held at the company’s global headquarters in Milan, Kuehne+Nagel Romania was honoured with the Service Level Award, recognising its outstanding contribution to Pirelli’s logistics operations and overall supply chain excellence. 

The event brought together 85 strategic suppliers from 21 countries, selected for their pivotal role in helping Pirelli achieve its business objectives. Out of a global network of approximately 13,000 suppliers, only seven were distinguished with a Supplier Award — a testament to the exceptional standards upheld by Kuehne+Nagel in its partnership with Pirelli. 

The award specifically celebrates the successful start-up of operations at Pirelli’s fulfillment centre in Slatina, Romania, where Kuehne+Nagel demonstrated agility, precision, and a strong commitment to service quality. This achievement reflects the logistics provider’s ability to support Pirelli’s evolving needs in a dynamic and competitive market.

The Kuehne+Nagel team in Hauneck, Germany, accepted the award in early July. Hauneck is the location from which the team oversees both temperature-controlled and non-temperature-controlled LTL and FTL road freight services for Sartorius across Europe.

The prize rewards a software developed by Kuehne+Nagel experts using APIs’ and a web platform enabling real-time integration of data provided by distribution carriers and the warehouse management system (WMS). The solution optimises distribution operations of Huawei’s B2B fulfilment centre operated by Kuehne+Nagel in San Fernando (SP) but also improve supply.

The event saw the participation of Antonio Jiménez Contract Logistics site manager and Ricardo Carilla National Contract Logistics distribution manager.
